Issam Nabulsi is the founding director and principle architect of Dyspher (based in Melbourne). According to the office's website, Dyspher "aims to utilise the medium of architecture as a means of building cohesion within communities".  In 1991, Issam received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Melbourne. For twelve years (1993 - 2005), he was principle architect at Mimar Architects. In 2008, he founded Desypher Architecture in Melbourne, and in 2011 in Dubai.

As the founding Director of Desypher, Issam heads our office with over 25 years of experience. Having worked under Andrew Kings (Melbourne) and Rasem Badran (Amman, Jordan), Issam established the practice in 1993 and has since developed Desypher with a specific interest in projects that demonstrate wider community and cultural benefit

In addition to being a father of five, Issam has a keen interest in integrating permaculture principles in all our projects. If he’s not at his desk, he’s potting around his garden where he can frequently be heard having a conversation with his chooks!
