Jean-Paul Lamoureux obtained the diploma of applied studies in Acoustics at the University of Poitiers - Bordeaux - Toulouse in 1984.

This diploma completes his training in Lighting & Air Conditioning alongside training in musicology and musical acoustics at the University of Poitiers.

After experience as a project manager in an acoustic design office from 1984 to 1989, he founded the Jean-Paul Lamoureux firm in 1990 on the basis of several founding projects such as the National Library of France (AMO mission in acoustics) and the Cité de la Musique West and East sectors (AMO mission in acoustics).

He will notably be at the origin of the first poses of buildings on spring boxes to overcome the vibratory constraints of the site.

In 1999, he developed a computerized construction noise monitoring system: the first system of this type in France for the extension and renovation of the Palais des Congrès at Porte Maillot in Paris.

From then on, he develops the firm's activities on all the acoustic and vibratory constraints that can be encountered in a construction project.

It will also intervene:

for room acoustics issues: Shanghai Opera in 1996 and Hanoi Opera in 1998 for the beginnings of the firm and today he is the acoustician in charge of the renovation works of the Maison de Radio France since 2005 and l acoustician representative of the PPP Bouygues group for the construction of the new city of music on the island of Seguin

for problems of acoustic and vibration isolation and regulatory compliance: he will be in charge of numerous housing operations, hotels, conference centers and tertiary complexes that must comply with international and national acoustic comfort criteria

Today, Jean-Paul Lamoureux, through his rigor, has become an essential partner for many architects and project owners.
