A pioneer of Pakistan's first group of formally qualified architects, he lived from 3 April 1905 to 30 December 1972. The Baitul Mukarram (National Mosque of Bangladesh) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, is one of his best-known creations. [2] Three cities in three nations—Mumbai in India, Karachi in Pakistan, and Dhaka in Bangladesh—display his creations.
